Edgehill Recognized with 5-Star Quality Designation from Medicare
Stamford, Conn. – Edgehill, a continuing care retirement community (CCRC) in Stamford, Conn., has again been recognized as a 5-star community for skilled nursing and rehabilitation by CMS Care Compare. Five stars is the highest achievable rating on Care Compare.
“We are certainly honored that we have maintained our overall 5-star rating and are especially proud of being rated 5-stars in all three categories of Health Inspections, Quality Measures and Staffing,” said Chris Massaro, Health Care Administrator for Edgehill’s Sub-Acute Rehab and Skilled Nursing Facility. “This can only be accomplished with a dedicated staff who understands that the best way to provide quality care is by being resident focused and working together.”
Recent resident surveys highlight the exceptional quality and personal service Edgehill provides in its rehab and skilled nursing neighborhood. “Being a 2-star general, I know how to run units and this place was one of the best I’ve ever seen,” said one survey respondent. Care Compare—a service of the U.S. Centers for Medicare and Medicaid Services—reviews facility data for health inspections, staffing, and quality measures in assessing a rating. The quality data and methodology are posted at medicare.gov.
