Edgehill Holds Second Annual Edgeminster Dog Show Benefitting Stamford Health
Edgehill, Stamford’s premiere continuing care retirement community (CCRC), held its second annual Edgeminster Dog Show on Wednesday, May 13, to raise money in support of the Bennett Cancer Center’s Hope in Motion Walk. The show featured residents and associates with 15 of their beloved dogs on parade.

Judges from the Edgehill community bestowed awards to honor each participant. Guests enjoyed an afternoon of entertainment, community connection and charitable giving in support of Stamford Health’s Hope in Motion program.
“Organizing this event is truly a labor of love. I genuinely enjoy the work and feel fortunate to collaborate with such wonderful people. The Edgehill community is deeply committed to philanthropy and it’s rewarding to raise money to support patients, our neighbors, who live right here in Stamford,” said Edgehill resident Joan Weisman.
“Edgehill’s pet-friendly environment is such a joy for the residents. You can see people light up when the dogs parade by. Not only does this event support an important cause, but it’s also a joyful and fun experience for the entire community.”

Team Edgehill’s Long-standing Support of Hope in Motion
A group of dedicated Edgehill residents and associates, known as Team Edgehill, is on pace to again set records with its fundraising efforts for the Bennett Cancer Center’s Hope in Motion Walk. Since launching its Hope in Motion fundraising efforts more than 10 years ago, Team Edgehill has raised nearly $500,000 to support cancer patients in need. The Edgeminster Dog Show continues this mission by bringing the community together for a meaningful and engaging event that combines philanthropy with a fun, pet-centered program.

“We’re grateful to Team Edgehill, a long-standing supporter of Stamford Health’s Bennett Cancer Center, for hosting such a joyful, pet-centered event that truly brings our community together. Events like this not only raise critical awareness and resources, but also remind us of the power of connection, compassion and community in the healing journey,” said Dr. Steve Lo, Director of Medical Oncology & Hematology with Stamford Health.
