Marisol Vega, LMSW
Role and Responsibilities
As the director of social work at Edgehill, Marisol Vega oversees a broad range of responsibilities, including resident and family advocacy, medical social work, case management and care coordination. She also provides mental health counseling, crisis intervention, regulatory compliance, staff training and mentorship, conflict resolution and program development.
Marisol works closely with residents, families and care teams to ensure that every individual receives personalized support tailored to their unique needs. Through thoughtful guidance and meaningful relationships, she helps create an environment where residents feel valued, heard and cared for.
Industry Expertise
Marisol brings a diverse background and extensive leadership experience to her role at Edgehill. Throughout her career, she has served in several leadership positions, including director of human resources, director of communications and now director of social work.
Her ability to lead interdisciplinary teams, coordinate complex care plans and build strong community partnerships has helped improve outcomes for residents and families alike. Bilingual in English and Spanish, Marisol values the importance of communication and connection, helping ensure residents and families feel supported and understood during important moments of care and transition.

Helping seniors live full and meaningful lives is what inspires Marisol each day. Whether advocating for residents, supporting emotional well-being or helping families navigate complex decisions, she believes that exceptional care begins with compassion, dignity and a genuine commitment to improving quality of life.
Education, Awards & Certifications
Marisol earned her master’s degree (magna cum laude) from Southern Connecticut State University and received several academic distinctions, including the Distinguished Student Award, recognition in Who’s Who Among American Students in American Universities and Colleges and placement on the National Dean’s List. She is also a Licensed Master of Social Work.
Personal Interests
Outside of work, Marisol enjoys traveling, exploring different cultures, maintaining a healthy life and work balance, as well as spending quality time with her family.
