Chef Anthony Napolitano, the talented executive chef at Edgehill, a continuing care retirement community managed by Benchmark Senior Living, has been honored by a national senior living publication for his creative and flavorful culinary offerings. WTWH Healthcare has named Chef Anthony to its DISHED Senior Living Dining Innovation Awards Class of 2026.

National Recognition for Culinary Innovation

The award recognizes visionaries in the senior living industry who are transforming senior living dining. Chef Anthony was recognized as a “Palate Pleaser” for his thoughtful and efficient use of ingredients that result in meals that are flavorful, sustainable and nutritious. He joined Edgehill in 2007, bringing skill and true passion for senior dining.

Chef Anthony’s Comfort-Driven Culinary Philosophy

“Congratulations to Chef Anthony on this much-deserved honor. His dedication and compassion shine through his work. He truly enhances the daily lives of residents with food that brings comfort, joy and nourishment,” said Benchmark Vice President of Culinary Nicholas Goldstein. “His creative menu development, commitment to quality, and fresh ideas reflect the high standards of Benchmark’s culinary program.”

Chef Anthony’s approach to cooking is rooted in technique, flavor and the balance between comfort and indulgence. “I believe food is deeply connected to memory and emotion. It is incredibly rewarding to create dishes that bring residents back to meaningful moments in their lives, while also introducing them to new flavors and experiences. I take great care to honor traditions, holidays and personal preferences, ensuring that dining remains both familiar and exciting,” he says.

Chef Anthony’s Culinary Background

Chef Anthony studied culinary arts at Cobleskill College. For more than a decade, he served in roles that supported organizations such as General Electric before joining Edgehill, where the community’s culinary program comes to life under his direction. “Great food starts with quality ingredients and strong technique. When those elements come together with care and intention, the result is a dining experience that is both satisfying and memorable. Every plate that leaves the kitchen represents my commitment to excellence and my respect for the residents we serve.”

WTWH Healthcare, the publisher of Senior Housing News, recognized 27 senior living dining innovators across five categories. In addition to Chef Anthony, one other dining professional from Benchmark Senior Living communities was honored.
