Maureen Jennings

Role and Responsibilities

As the program director, Maureen Jennings oversees a wide range of activities and events designed to keep residents engaged. A longtime resident of Fairfield County, Maureen values our community’s ideal location for offering on-campus activities, local cultural excursions, trips to New York and seasonal outings to Connecticut’s picturesque towns. Her goal is to maintain an open dialogue with residents and invite their input on what they enjoy most. “I am here to support their diverse interests in the arts, theater, world events and more,” she says.

Industry Expertise

With her background leading a team of account executives and clinical liaisons at a home health agency, Maureen brings deep expertise in continuing care retirement communities, including Assisted Living and Skilled Nursing. Her focus on service excellence and building strong relationships makes her a natural fit for her role as program director. She is dedicated to creating enriching experiences that promote the well-being and happiness of residents, ensuring they feel supported and inspired in their senior living community.

Passion for Senior Care

Maureen’s passion for senior care runs deep, shaped by her personal experience with her parents’ transition into a CCRC. As an advocate for older adults, she believes in creating a supportive, loving environment where residents can thrive. “I love being around our residents,” Maureen says. “They have so much to share. This chapter of their life should be filled with love, support and inspiration to enjoy every day.” Her dedication ensures seniors receive the care and attention they deserve during this meaningful stage of life.

Career Journey

With a background in healthcare and pharmaceuticals, Maureen brings a unique blend of sales, leadership and advocacy to her role. She previously led teams of account executives and clinical liaisons in home health care, gaining deep insights into senior living and continuing care communities. Her personal journey, caring for her aging parents, also helped shape her empathy and understanding of the senior care landscape. “I went through the process with my own parents and learned how important it is to have advocates for seniors. I’m proud to be part of a team that treats Edgehill like a home, not a business.”

Milestones

Maureen holds a degree in Education from SUNY Oneonta, a foundation that has been integral to her leadership and coaching skills.

Personal Interests

Outside of work, Maureen enjoys time with her family, especially her grandchildren. “I often stop by to help my daughter with her little ones on my way home from work,” she says. She also enjoys spending time with her beloved King Charles Cavalier, Cooper, whom she brings to the community from time to time. “It’s a joy to see the residents light up when they see Cooper.” Maureen’s thoughtful approach to both her personal and professional life is rooted in her desire to create joyful, supportive experiences for those around her.
