Sandi Kornblum

Role and Responsibilities

As lifestyle director at Edgehill, Sandi Kornblum curates and oversees a dynamic calendar of events and programs designed to enrich the lives of residents and foster a strong sense of community. From arts and entertainment to wellness, education and social gatherings, she ensures there is something that each resident will find engaging.

Edgehill offers amenities like an indoor pool, fine dining venue and cultural programming. And thanks to our community’s ideal location near New York and New Haven, Sandi also helps coordinate enriching off-site experiences that connect residents to the broader cultural landscape.

Industry Expertise

With a background in community health, senior services and event management, Sandi brings a unique blend of compassion, creativity and organizational skills to her work. Her hands-on experience supporting older adults paired with her talent for planning engaging, inclusive events makes her especially well-suited for the role of lifestyle director.

Passion for Senior Care

Sandi’s favorite part of working in the senior living space has always been getting to know the residents personally and finding ways—big or small—to support their needs and enrich their daily lives.

Career Journey

Sandi served as the communications and events manager for Community Health Center and the Child Guidance Center of Southern Connecticut. In this role, she led a wide range of initiatives, from coordinating impactful events to managing communications that connect families with essential services.

Prior to that, Sandi worked at At Home In Darien, an aging in place non-profit organization, where she served as the office coordinator. She managed a variety of programs and services, including organizing community events, leading the volunteer program, coordinating transportation for members and overseeing a local senior discount initiative. What stood out most for Sandi during this time was the personal connection—getting to know older residents and offering help wherever it was needed became the most rewarding part of her work.

Milestones

Sandi is a graduate of Lehigh University, where she played on the college tennis team and began building many of the skills—such as discipline, teamwork and resilience—that continue to shape her personal and professional life.

Her passion for supporting others stems from her own experience as a parent—particularly in navigating her son’s life-threatening food allergies. This led her to become a Certified Food Allergy Coach.

Personal Interests

Sandi lives with her husband, Jeffrey and is proud of her two children—her son, who lives and works in New York City and her daughter, who graduated from college in 2025.

An avid tennis player since childhood, Sandi competed at the collegiate level and now plays in USTA leagues. She recently discovered a love for pickleball and has not looked back, even traveling to Kiawah Island for a dedicated camp. Outside of sports, she enjoys staying active, spending time at the beach, traveling, reading and being with friends and family.

Sandi also gives back to her community in meaningful ways. Since 2020, she has been grocery shopping for a homebound senior in her town—someone she now considers like family.
