Associate Executive Director Julia Hanon has worked with Benchmark for more than four years. She started as Dining Room Manager at Meadow Ridge in Redding, CT., became Assistant Director of Food & Beverage at Edgehill in 2020 and was recently named to her current role.
A graduate of Connecticut College in New London, CT., Julia worked in the restaurant, hotel and real estate industries before coming to the senior living space. It’s a change she does not regret.
“I love my role at Edgehill because I have the opportunity to work alongside the most dedicated and exceptional colleagues, with a community of vibrant, interesting, lovely and gracious residents,” she says.
“The atmosphere is much more of a family than simply a workplace,” she adds. “It is a pleasure and an honor to come to work each day.”
Julia enjoys spending time with her son and her friends, reading, hiking with her dog, snowboarding, and scuba diving in her off-hours.
